Northumbria University

The School for Computing, Engineering and Information Sciences (CEIS) at Northumbria University is internationally recognised for its high quality courses and teaching. It has recently completed an £8 million refurbishment programme to enhance the teaching facilities.

Northumbria University was named Best Modern University by the Times Good University Guide 2005. It provides first class student support, excellent student accommodation and sporting facilities, 'state of the art' workshops and laboratories equipped to the latest, industry standards. Undergraduate programmes include Applied Computing, Computing for Business, Computer Games Software Engineering, Computer Forensics, Business Information Technology, Mathematics with Business Management, Computer Aided Design, Internet Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Communications, Information Studies and Product Design. In addition a wide range of MSc programmes is provided.

Northumbria University is located in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, which is a great place to be a student having recently been voted as the UK's friendliest city, most polite city and the students' favourite city. It has a dramatic location on the River Tyne in the north east of England and lies at the heart of one of Britain's most beautiful and historic regions. It enjoys excellent road and rail links with the rest of the country, and has an international airport.
