Dear Students, We are glad to inform you that the International Fair “EDUCATION AND CAREER” will take place in Riga on November 26-27 and in Vilnius on November 24-25, 2010 . The fair introduces a great variety of all kinds of educational institutions abroad ranging from all types of schools (public, private, boarding, or language) and camps that are meant for pupils to colleges and universities (both private and state-funded) for school leavers to choose from. Within this great variety of opportunities the choices one makes would depend on the educational goals one aspires to achieve. Pupils and their parents are likely to find some useful information on the secondary education abroad as well as language and summer camp programmes. Prospective school leavers will find information on the courses their future speciality may be related to. It is worth mentioning that after Latvia joined the EU there have appeared many different studying opportunities, which Latvian pupils and school leavers are most welcome to use. The main difficulty now seems to be making the right choice for your education, be it secondary or higher. This means that there is a necessity to inform the youth on such opportunities, and it is crucial to do it in time. The fair normally takes place in November straight after the beginning of the school year when there is no enormous load at schools. Besides, it gives the prospective students time to think about their future and career during their last year at school. It is also the choice making time, so think twice. The fair is surely a great oppurtunity not to be missed as you will have a chance to talk to the representatives of over 40 foreign educational institutions as well as their agents here, in Baltics. The information provided on studies abroad and everything related to that will be precise and profound. You will be able to find out not only about the institutions and courses offered, but also about the system of education in each specific country, appropriate language training, student loans, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, bursaries, and schoraships available to EU students as well as entry requirements and terms and conditions of studying in Britain, Switzerland, Denmark and many other countries. Do remember that it is always better to talk to the real specialist representing his or her institution than to rely on what someone else advises, even if it is your best friend. So, welcome and see you at the fair. Good luck in all your future endeavours! |
